In 2017, the COMPEX Show Committee, comprised of members of the below clubs, was named a chapter of the American Philatelic Society. We are pleased to strengthen our connection to the national philatelic society for collectors and dealers.

Austin Philatelic Club (APC) is a general-interest stamp club serving western Chicago and the near-west suburbs. A chapter of the American Philatelic Society (APS), APC does not have a set meeting schedule or location; for information on the day and time, please use the contact shown below. Baden-Powell Philatelic Association of Illinois (BPPA) is a specialist society whose members collect worldwide issues relating to the Boy and Girl Scouting Movements. Baden-Powell is Chapter #1 of the Scouts on Stamps Society International (SOSSI), which is an affiliate of the APS. BPPA holds meetings six or seven times per year at shows and other locations in the Chicagoland area; guests are always welcome. The main communication for members is the SOSSI Journal. Chicagoland First Day Cover Society (CFDCS) is devoted to collecting of First Day Covers (FDCs) of the United States and other countries. CFDCS is Chapter #6 of the American First Day Cover Society (AFDCS), which is an affiliate of the APS. Germany Philatelic Society (GPS), Chicagoland Chapter #5 of the APS-affiliated national GPS organization, is a specialist society whose members collect Germany or Germany-related material. Also a chapter of the APS, GPS Chapter #5 meets at 7:30 p.m. on the fourth Friday of each month (except June, September, November and December) at the Burgundy Restaurant, 5959 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, IL. The meetings feature speakers and stamp trading sessions; guests are always welcome. Israel-Palestine Philatelic Society of America (IPPSA) is a specialist society whose members are devoted to the study and exchange of information on all aspects of Holy Land Philately, including the Turkish or Forerunner period, the British Mandate period, the Interim period of 1948, modern Israel, the Holocaust and Judaica. IPPSA is the Chicago chapter of the APS-affiliated Society of Israel Philatelists (SIP). IPPSA meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month (except December to March), from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Skokie Public Library, 5215 Oakton Street, 2nd floor, Skokie, IL.
